Sto. Niño
Barrio Sto. Niño was named from the first Christian settlers who were mostly Cebuano, and some were Bagobo. Sto. Niño was a patron Saint of Cebu. In 1966, the residents in
the area wanted to be separated from New Cebu. Through Resolution No. 86 series of 1971, the Municipal congress made a resolution making it a regular barrio Sto. Niño. The first Tenyente del Barrio was Sinforiano Espina.
