Marbel
Before the settlers came, Barangay Marbel is called MAB-BO by the first inhabitants – the Manobos. Later in 1935, the settlers call their place as MARBOL, which is again
changed in the late 50’s as Marbel, derived from Marbel River. Again in the 70’s, through the leadership of the late Barangay Captain Ricardo Apias, Marbel was changed to Embac but was not popularized, so Marbel remained the name until now. Marbel became a regular Barangay by virtue of Executive Order No. 92 signed in 1947.
