Junction

A group of pioneer from BOHOL in the person of Isabelo Daquio, Silverio Daquio, Guillermo Curayag, Eulogio Bulawan and Vevencio Bulawan came first to the place in 1939.

During the Japanese occupation in 1941 these group of settlers were apprehended by the Japanese Imperial Army and take them to Lanao, Kidapawan Cotabato to serve as the laborer of Japanese Garrison. When liberation came in 1945 this group of pioneer from Bohol together with other group came back to the place. Finally, a surveyor from Bureau of Land Mr. Flores, came to survey the place until they reach to the joining point of the three rivers – the Nuangan River, Saguing River and Malaang River in which they derive

 

the name of the place called “JUNCTION” meaning, joining of three rivers. Junction was created in 1951 and at that time Melecio Grado was the Barrio Teniente. Junction became a regular barangay by virtue of resolution No. 50 in 1959.
