Balindog
“ILOCEBONETA” this acronym was the first name of Barangay Balindog. It represents the inhabitants of the place who where Ilocanos, Cebuanos, Boholanos, Leyteňos
and Tagalogs with the leadership of Mr. Brigido Alemania, the Tiniente del Barrio at that time. However, the name “ILOCEBONETA” did not last long and changed to BALINDOG, in honour of the powerful Datu Balindog, a chieftain of the Manobo Tribe. On June 10, 1959 Barrio Balindog was created by virtue of a Municipal Resolution No. 50 sponsored by Gabriel Manuel and Aquilino Bayot, both municipal councilors and approved by Mayor Lorenzo Saniel.
