Meohao
The name was basically a name of a river surrounding the area. “MEOHAO” meant “very thirsty”. Travellers who came from walking long miles felt the need of drinking
water. People before have differing dialect so they would ask for water through sign language. The natives agreed to mean MEOHAO as very thirsty. In September, 1965, citizens of Sitio Meohao, through the active leadership of some residents and the Manobos in the headship of Amado Ebboy, a petition was passed making meohao a barrio. Later on, the petition was accepted and G. Patricio Galacio was made Tenyente del Barrio.
